Description

Hinata Two-Tone Cup & Plate Set

A playful meeting of colour and calm.

The Hinata Cup & Plate Set pairs sunny yellow with soft ivory in a striking two-tone design, bringing a contemporary energy to Japanese tableware while retaining a beautifully simple, considered form.

Made in Japan, both the cup and rectangular plate are divided into contrasting fields of warm yellow and creamy ivory. The bold colour blocking gives the set a modern graphic quality, while subtle tonal variation within the glaze keeps the overall feeling warm and tactile rather than stark.

The generously rounded cup features gentle horizontal contours, a comfortable handle and an approximately 300 ml capacity—ideal for everything from morning coffee and tea to hot chocolate or soup.

Its elongated rectangular plate offers plenty of room alongside the cup for a pastry, toast, sandwich, cake or bread. Together they create a complete individual setting that feels relaxed enough for every day but special enough to make a simple meal feel considered.

Hinata, evoking a warm, sunlit place, reflects the cheerful yellow that moves across each piece.

Why You’ll Love It

The beauty of Hinata is in the contrast.

One half is bright and expressive; the other is quiet and neutral. Together, the yellow and ivory create a balanced composition that feels distinctly modern while remaining easy to style with natural timber, linen and other Japanese tableware.

The elongated plate also makes the set particularly practical. Instead of a traditional saucer, you have a generous serving space for something to eat alongside your drink.

A little colour. A little calm. And a beautifully Japanese approach to the everyday table.
