Hikari Yellow Cup & Plate Set

A little sunlight for the table.

The Hikari Cup & Plate Set, made in JAPAN pairs a generously sized handled cup with an elongated rectangular plate in a vivid yellow and warm ivory palette. Bright without feeling overly playful, the colour brings an uplifting accent to morning coffee, afternoon tea or a simple soup-and-bread lunch.

The cup has a softly rounded, tactile form with gentle horizontal contours that give it character in the hand. With an approximately 300 ml capacity, it is versatile enough for coffee, tea, hot chocolate or a comforting serving of soup.

The accompanying rectangular plate extends the set beyond the traditional cup-and-saucer. Its generous proportions leave room beside the cup for toast, a pastry, sandwich, biscuit or small sweet, creating an easy individual serving set for slower everyday moments.

The contrasting yellow and ivory finish ties the two pieces together beautifully while giving the set a distinctly contemporary Japanese feel.

Why You’ll Love It

The elongated plate is what makes this set especially useful. Rather than simply holding the cup, it creates its own serving space, allowing a drink and something to eat to be presented together without reaching for additional tableware.

And then there is the colour: warm, luminous yellow that instantly brings energy to a neutral table.

Simple, cheerful and made to be used often.
