About Ryukyu Glass
Ryukyu glass (琉球ガラス) is one of Okinawa’s most celebrated craft traditions. Hand-blown by skilled artisans, each piece is shaped individually, with tiny bubbles and subtle variations that celebrate the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. Inspired by the island’s landscapes and sea, every piece reflects the vibrant spirit of Okinawa.
About Yamasakura
Yamasakura (山桜), or Japanese mountain cherry, is a natural hardwood appreciated for its strength, beautiful grain and the way its colour develops with continued use.
These coasters are carefully made in Tsukechi, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, from selected Yamasakura timber. Their understated square form allows the natural beauty of the wood to complement the vivid blue glass.
For care, gently wipe after use or wash with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Remove excess water promptly and allow to dry thoroughly away from direct sunlight. Do not leave submerged in water, boil to sterilise or place in a dishwasher or dish dryer.
